Anyone camping out for the 5S in Vegas? Where will you be doing it? Fashion Show? Town Square? Company cell carrier store? Looking for info to see what's best to snag a 5S myself.

I would say that you'd have better odds at Fashion Show. Here's why.

When I lived there, I'd do the following every saturday evening.

Drive down from my place up in Summerlin (Cheyenne/Tenaya) to the parking garage at Treasure Island. Coming in the back way, you hit the tram to the Mirage. Take that, and walk through the Mirage out of the main entrance. Turn right, and you're at the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace.

However, if you went through Treasure Island, you're right across the street from Fashion Show.

My point: If you miss out at Fashion show, you are within 10 minutes running distance from the other Apple Store in the Forum Shops, rather than jumping on I-15 down to Russell and taking your chances with the line there. Take into account rush hour traffic, and it may be longer. Better to run through the tourist trap or take shortcuts through the casino if need be.

I'll be at Town Square. I've always had good luck there.

Any idea what time people are going to start lining up? Specifically at the fashion show store?

Any idea how they are handling the launch this year? In past years they handed out cards with the product specs you wanted. Will we be allowed to camp out inside the mall or will be outside if you choose to wait overnight?

I think I'll go to Town Square... I just don't know weather to arrive in the late evening or put a very early wake up call.. like at 4... Need help to decide the right choice!:confused::)

I just got off of the phone with fashion show location. They have moved they are now on the 2nd level right above their old store.

If you decide to wait overnight you will have to wait outside and mall security will lead us in at some point in the morning.

No one is lined up as of yet. They have no idea how many phones they will have. She sounded fairly optimistic that they will have a good supply of phones.

I'm heading up there as well. I'll probably leave the house at 5 if I get cancelled from work. Hopefully I get the day off as requested or it's gonna be a long and anxiety filled 12 hour shift if I sense the 32gig space gray's dwindling. :(

    ----------

I went @ 8pm for the 5 launch and got right in and walked out with a new 5, but if the rumors of low supplies are true than you're better off going early.

No 8pm. The line completely died down by evening and I was able to just pick up the phone I wanted no problems

No use rushing down to Town Square. They're not allowing lines until later tonight, near closing. Maybe the other stores are different.

If anyone is trading in a current phone, could you please post how much credit you were given? Also, does Apple charge tax on the full retail price or no? I've been seeing/hearing conflicting info :confused:Thanks =)
