I'm debating between FV or UTC. How early does FV let you line up on launch day?

i forget about FV, though i do remember they always changed every year. i remember them not allowing anyone in before 0500. i would get there at 0600 usually and be fine for a phone.

might pre order this year. but i really like getting it day one!

I would say UTC. Fashion is going to be packed.

Pretty sure FV last year had a huge line at 4am for the 5s. Went to the ATT store down in midway and rosecrans and was 6th in line. I'm leaning towards just having it delivered as that seems more convenient given that they actually deliver the 19th.

Don't bother. Just like with the 5s launch, I'm buying up all the gold iPhone 6+, especially at Fashion Valley. I got my hands on all of the gold 5s at launch in FV (truth).

    I'm back.

Wasn't able to get a pre-order in last night event hough I tried for 2 hours. Anyone know if NCF will let people in around midnight? I figure it's the only in-door mall in SD with an Apple Store, not sure what the policy is for the actual mall doors opening.

I'm tempted to go to FV, but I know it's the SD flagship store, so it'll be packed.

Yeah, I am literally walking distance from Best Buy, but I'm not sure how supply constraint they will be with the iPhone 6 Plus models. I figure the Apple Stores will probably get the better inventory selection, so I'll try there first.

I would not get it at Best Buy. I remember I pre-ordered the 4S from Best Buy and had to wait 3 weeks until I could pick up my phone, meanwhile, the Apple Store had a fresh supply everyday.

I missed pre-ordering the phone as I was traveling home from italy but have to get it launch day , just not sure if i should risk the Fashion Valley think cause the times to get in to the mall are never certain.

although I know fashion always gets the largest amount of inventory

Maybe try a att store ?

    any other suggestions?

    FV or NC?

    Hi All,

Curious to know if North County would be a good spot for launch day iPhone 6+. There is an ATT store there as well, which I am hoping will be a good backup.

    Thoughts?

you talking about north county fair im assuming? i dont know the answer to that. but as far as a backup goes, im pretty sure you get one line to wait in...pick it right. if you wait in att line and they dont have, you will be at end of apple line and might not get.

ill be at carlsbad at 0500

called security today at Fashion Valley and they won't allow anyone in until 5AM on Friday

it was the only place I can get a pick-up from since the other less-busy Apple Stores had none available for pick-up :(

Does anyone have experience with pre-ordering and picking up in-store at UTC? I'm just curious to know how long the wait is and whether or not I should try going during my lunch break on Friday.

I'm basically across the street from the Carlsbad store. I'm going to try my luck picking up a 6+. I pre-ordered a 6 then changed to a 6+ the next day and my ship date ended up being Oct 13-20. I'll cancel it if I can grab one in store.
