Never been to an iPhone launch, but if preorder doesn't work out, I'll be waiting here. Any other East Bay Apple fans planning to make it out? What are the crowds like/when do people start lining up?

I'll be there early to line up in the preorder line.

Also, we can't be too early because Bay Street does not allow camping.

Anyone know how lines are here vs. Berkeley? Yelp said that store is less crowded... I'm new to the area personally

Emeryville is tricky because overnight camping isn't allowed but they are a higher volume store. Berkeley allows camping but they do not get a good number of the rarer models; last year they only had 2 gold 64GB iPhone 5S

How does that work then? When do people show up and how do you avoid a mob?

I'm looking for a 16GB Plus in Silver. Idk how rare that is. Will the stores give me an idea of stock if I call them? Like I said I'm new to this.

EDIT: Went to Berkeley today. One person in line already.

    What's everyone's plan...

Talked to Bay St. security and they won't allow a line until 7am - though they said you could be in the parking lot at whatever point you'd like...

Edit: Apple employees said lines will start at 5, with the store opening at 9.
