If you're like me, you love the iPhone. But either you hate ATT or you find that the iPhone can't do the business functions you need (Outlook integretion). Check out the HTC TyTN2 (aka Kaiser). ATT has a version of it they call the Tilt, but it has ATT bloatware and some disabled features. I got the TyTN2 from an importer and it works flawlessly with my Tmobile SIM card.
Features to look at:
1. quad band, gsm/edge/3G (Tmobile is about to go 3G) and wi-fi 802.11g
2. Slideout backlit keyboard, screen tilts up at a 45 degree angle for ergonomic reasons.
3. Touch screen with a very nice HTC user interfacer on it.
4. GPS inside. Comes with Tom Tom software preloaded. They let you download one free local area map. But you have to pay for the entire US and Canada.
5. 3 mp camera with business card scanning software. Take a picture of the card and the software puts the data into Outlook.
6. Outlook seemless integration, plus the ability to add personal pop3 and html email accounts.
7. MS Office loaded up.
8. micro SDHC slot and supported, recognizes the 8gb cards.
9. External antennae port for a gps if you think you need it, but my GPS even locks on inside.
10. Charges with a USB cable.
I'm not in any way trying to diss the iphone. I wish it could do what I need it to do. My HTC phone isnt' as good a media device by any stretch when compared to my ipod touch. So, I travel with both, but I can no leave my laptop at home on my numerous trips.
