Is it reasonable to believe that the iPhone apps will work on the iPod touch? I'm gonna need an IM app to use on it if I'm gonna buy it.

i thinks it will be pretty much the same. it looks the same, i dont think they would have completely redesigned the OS, just used the same thing and whatnot.
they didn't say anything about ajax or web 2.0 in the ipod touch so i thinkno...
ajax and web 2.0 are simply terms for web design standards, methods, and techniques. If you have a modern browser to use to view the net (such as Safari), you have ajax and web 2.0.
So... don't worry about it!
