Hi everyone,
It has just been three days since I finally laid hands on my first second hand 8g 1'st gen iphone. i never used iphone before except i saw it in other peoples' hands. jailbreaked, unlocked and upgraded to 2.0 myself the first day ;). I am poor so couldn't buy it until I got a good deal. I am extremely curious of about iphone development and would like to do some myself. I wasn't following all the news and hype behind iphone so far so I am still lagging behind and i have a few basic questions:
1.) When was iphone jailbreaked first time? Was the jailbreaking application available only after apple released/leaked SDK?
2.) which was first application for jailbreaked iphone? how did they develop it? without sdk? why is that apps like installer/cydia apps necessary? why not just ssh and drop the application like leopard or tiger does?
thanks
