So I want to upload (and edit, for the first time on iMovies) from my iPhone to MacBook Pro. I've never done this - all my updates, syncing, music, apps, everything is on my desktop. I just want to move my 300MB video to edit to my MacBook Pro that I never use.

When I plug in my iPhone, it does not recongize it. Can someone explain to me / what I can do?

    ----------

For example, if I plug my iPhone on my desktop (Windows), I can look into my files without syncing anything on My Computers.

But when I plug it in my Macbook, it doesn't show up

You need iTunes on your Mac, this will show you your iPhone.
