iPhone in Australia

    I was wondering if a belgian iphone 4s (factory unlocked GSM) work on an australian network (vodaphone, telstra, virgin, etc...)

    But you won't get 4G with telstra.. It will only work on telstra's 3g network.

    The 4S is a 3G phone so what does 4G have to do with it?

    Telstra is known for their 4g networks... Thats their "thing".

    You mean like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon do here in the US? Calling 3.5G and 3.75G as 4G

    Um, their network is called 'NextG' and they call they reference '4G' only for 4G LTE devices such as the HTC Something, the Samsung tab and their USB modems.

    lol, i swear people dont know that 4G is defined as 100mb/s
    it pisses me off how these companies claim that they offer 4G
