I have a signifigantly large library of music currently on my PC. I purchased an iMac and need to migrate the music oveer to the iMac, then I need to sync my iPhone that has never been synced with ITunes anywhere. (Currently no music on the iPhone) How do I move the library the easiest (I have an external drive) and then selectivly decide what songs or play lists gets synced to the iPhone?

Lastly, I did load some songs on the iMac, shold I remove before migrating to avoid doubles or will iTunes recognize this and not recopy the songs.

Thanks for the help and advice in advance.

You can also share the folder in windows, and then import them into iTunes over your network (assuming you have a router). That is what I would do, as iTunes will have to scan the library anyway, may as well be scanning while transferring the files.
