Prices for the Verizon iPhone 5s at Verizon Wireless and Best Buy are currently:

    16GB - $99
    32GB - $149
    64GB - $199

I'm betting that we see this pattern continue with the iPhone 6.

(Kind of silly that a 64GB 5s is $199 on Verizon and $399 on AT&T right now)

Companies are just trying to get rid of old stock to make room for new phones in a few weeks. At this point they will take a loss just to get rid of them.

Nope. The phone has different prices on different carriers. This has nothing to do with new pricing and everything to do with clearing out old stock.

They would have to pay me to "buy" a phone with some carriers

Verizon did a drastic price cut on the HTC One M8 too, so it probably means nothing.
Probably to push out soon-to-be old phone inventory.
    Nothing to see here.
