I'm going to be there as well (Regent Street). I haven't been on launch date in any apple store before as I moved to London quite recently, so I'd really appreciate any help in getting my next iPhone! :)

Guys, anyone had any experience of queuing up in Westfields - Stratford City?

That's my 'local' Apple store, so would be more better for me to queue up there, except I have no idea how early I should start queuing or where to queue.

Looking at an older forum post, it seems that you have to queue outside of Westfields?

This will be my first ever queue-up btw :)

Is there a benefit to being at the beginning of the line when queuing?

I seem to remember in recent times you used to be able to get a free t shirt or something.

    Is this still the case?

I’m thinking I might do the overnight queue at Regent Street, just to see what its like from the other side.

I worked the last launch, and it was great fun, but I’m no longer with The Company so…

Yeh, so what time you guys planning on getting to the Regent St store or any other London store? Never queued up before, so have no idea as to when I should start queueing.

Any of you veteran queuers got any idea whether any stock will be left in the afternoon of launch day? Or how long it might take for stock to refill (the weekend after maybe? no?).

I would doubt it, unless you are very lucky and don't care what capacity or colour 6 you get.

16GB sold out just after 64GB in the store reservations, Saturday and Sunday was pretty much just 128GB left. I don't see Friday being much different.

I am not there this year but last year was 95% scalpers and a horrible experience.

I queued up at Westfield - Shepherds Bush and I am glad I did. It was windy and rainy that night and the queue at Regents street has no cover.

I started queueing around 9pm the previous night and by 10pm we were inside the mall and nice and cosy.

I wouldn't stand on the street when there is a much better option 20 mins away.

It was only a horrible experience because of the kind of people there.

Was told I could order one via the business team last week and got a call today saying it's now no longer the case :(. They (at the Stratford store) have told me that queues will start at 12.00am outside Westfield. If I get there around 4am will I be told whether they still have stock or will I have to wait until the apple store staff arrive later in the morning?

I'm going to be at Westfield Stratford too, they told me on the phone that queues usually start around midnight but the lady also said that the centre is open 24hrs due to the casino so the queue would be from outside the Apple store?

This will be my first ever launch queue, I plan to get there around midnight and hopefully be able to purchase the phone I want - 64GB Grey 6. If they are all out and only have a 128GB however I will have to go for that.

    Anyone else going Westfield Stratford?

You'll have to wait until the Apple staff come down the queue in the morning asking what everyone wants.

Do they definitely do that? Cause I called the store today and the guy said there wasn't a ticketing system in place when I asked, he just said it was first come first serve?

Yes, it's first come first served, you arrive and queue. First thing in the morning Apple staff walk down the queue starting in the front, and ask what model and capacity you want and give you a ticket for that model.

If you are further back, the tickets start to run out and the choices get more limited, then all the tickets run out and then it's tough luck if anyone is still in the queue at that stage.
