I've been using my iPhone to listen to music in my car via USB for years... I've had no issues until I updated to iOS 11.3 on Thursday and now the phone charges but I'm unable to play music from the Music app. I've tried resetting/erasing the entire phone, using different USB cables, etc. I used a phone that still had 11.2.6 and it played music right away. I just got off the phone with support and they pretty much told me there was nothing they can do about it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Same problem here on my Pioneer deck. Support lied and said it was my deck. They don’t care!

Seriously. I actually contacted Pioneer on Monday and they even sent me an email saying it was the iOS 11.3 update. Sent a copy of the email (from Pioneer) back to Apple support same day and still no response. It's been such a nightmare... I almost bought a new iPhone but figured it had the same 11.3 update so what's the point.

Let me know if y9u hear anything. Very frustrating. When I plug cable into phone it freezes stereo for like 30seconds before you get the error message on my avh291bt deck. I have checked with multiple phones to verify that it was not the deck.

Could it be the music player in your car not the device itself? Like if your music player gets software updates does it need an update?
