i'm planning on buying the first generation iphone from a friend. its not unlocked or jail broken. my current service provider is at&t but i do not have a data plan. is it possible for me to use my current at&t plan with the iphone. would i have to unlock it or something? i'd like to have an iphone because of all its functionality but i can't afford the data plan.
