Just got a new 160Gb Classic. Looking for a good looking, solid case. All suggestions welcome.

Thanks a ton!

I have a core case (old style 80gb version) that my 160gb classic fits in well. It's a full aluminium case, so gives really good protection. It's a little chunky, but i figured the iPod was a little to big to comfortably fit in my pocked, so i have it hanging round my neck under my jumper/coat. It's also in good reach to skip a track or change volume etc :) (but i feel properly geeky having an iPod round my neck ;))

I have an Agent18 Video Shield for my 80GB Classic. Actually it's the one without the stand which was for the 30GB 5G Video iPod and it fits perfectly. My silver Classic looks amazing inside it.

My FM transmitter has a right angle audio jack (L shaped as opposed to straight), do you think it would work with the agent 18 case? From the website, it looks maybe a little too thick for the jack to get all the way in the plug:

My 3 year old loves it.

Probably not the solution you were looking for was it?

I'm willing to be if you carried one around people might keep a little extra distance from you.

Another vote here for the Agent18 -- it's quite nice.

I got the Reflective Case from Griffin. It looks like the Agent18 but is like a mirror when the iPod is off. Its really cool. It fits my classic (80gig) great and comes with a deeper shell for the 160 as well.

Personally, I would wait there are some cases specifically for the classic, rather than just using a 5G case.

Griffin and Proporta already have cases available, more will soon follow.

I have this case on my new Classic. The cut-out for the earphones is angled in the back so a 90 degree plug would have no issue. I would highly recommend this case.

That is one of my concerns. A lot of the cases I have looked at appear to still be designed around the old body style. Although most of the changes to the iPod classic are to the UI and there are not HUGE differences in the body style. There are still slight changes. Any comments about how these cases fit the new iPod classics?

I just picked up an Agent 18 "Mothership" that was on clearance at Target for $7.49. I plan on using it for a soon to be purchased 80GB Classic.

Now, black or silver? Hmm....
