iPod ipod crashed! and now frozen....help!

Hi there! so just as i got in to work today i did the usual "hold down play" to turm my Ipod off. Except this time it crashed! the screen is now frozen and it doesnt matter which button i press or hold down it doesnt seem to respond. Also the screen is lit. I though that it might fix itself but its been half an hour and its still in the same state.

Does anyone know what to do? Or any buttons i should press to reset it? Or should i just wait until the battery dies? (which will be a long time!)

If it is a clickwheel iPod:
Hold down "Menu" and "Select" until the screen blanks. The iPod will then reboot.

3G: Hold Down "Menu" and "Play".

appreciate it.... yeh i serched the forums with key words but was unable to find anything though i'm sure its been asked before. I dont have the manual here at work so i got desperate. Thanks again mate...
