My fathers iPod Video (30gb, 5.5g) keep freezing every 30 seconds, causing a reboot. It works fine, then freezes again. Anyone know what wrong? Obviously we've reset, reboot, charged, and I've even erased and restored. Is there anything we can do?

Check the drive with Disk Utility. Is it coming back with any errors?
thanks for the reply mate, but I forgot to mention its windows configured (he uses windows) will using it with my mac to check that affect it?
The Mac can verify and repair the PC-formatted iPod if necessary. Windows PCs have similar maintenance tools that should also be able to do this.
