iPod iPod -> portable speaker

Which portable speaker system would you recommend for use with the ipod? I have came across one from creative at http://creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=683&product=15341
Was wondering how it sound.. any comments?

My dad got an iPod Hi-Fi for Christmas and it sounded incredible. The price is a little steep, though.

I can't fault the iPod HiFi. Powerful sound in there.
The whole thing did look a bit silly though. You've got this basic rectangular shape of the HiFi with a frickin iPod jetting out the top. But now it's beautiful

get some jbl on tour speakers

hey, got some JBL On tour speakers and I can tell you they rock.. i have a great setup at home and thought to get something more portable for camping and going away etc.

dunno if you wanted something smaller than the ipod hifi from apple but when the jbl's are packed up the unit is slightly longer than a hip flask... and they sound great, take 4 aaa batteries which last about 20hrs.

plus you can plug in other things that use a 3.5 mm (headphone) jack.. they cost about 70 bucks off ebay but are about 170 in the shops.
