iPod Ipod Shuffle hardrive problem

just got a new ipod shuffle for my girlfriend and it wont let me add any more than 68 songs. i know a lot has to do with the size of the songs being imported, but with a potential capacity of 250 songs, its hard to believe that the songs were so large that it stopped after 68. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that you check 'Convert High bit-rate songs to 128kbps' or whatever it is called. If that doesn't help, make sure it is not set to autofill from a playlist with only 68 songs.
