iPod Ipod shuffle not showing up on my mac

I was trying to use my ipod as a flash drive. i went into ipod shuffle options and checked the box to use as a flash drive. Then the ipod dissapeared off of the mac. now when i plug it in it doesn't show in itunes or on the desk top. How can i fix this?

Try deleting your iPod preferences. Looks for a file called com.apple.iPod.plist and put it in the trash for a while, delete if you want to but it's not essential to do do.
