iPod touch Ipod Touch Died/Won't Boot!

I was using my Touch, when the screen turned complete white and then shut off. When I try to turn it back on nothing happens and when I connect it to my PC, Itunes gives me an error.
Will the Apple genius have to send it to get serviced or do I have the option of exchanging it for another Touch?

this happen to me as well eveytime i unlock my ipod touch after using it for 10 minutes or so da screen goes all white with lil bit of static ...any ide how fix this?? or how do i refund or exchange because i bought it from apple online store

Show it to a Genius at the Apple Store and get a replacement.
