I've just gotten my iPod Touch, and had its firmware updated to 1.1.1 via iTunes.

The trouble is, it doesn't automatically opens iTunes, even though I had this option turned on. I have to open iTunes manually, and it then detects the Touch. Besides this, everything else functions as per normal.

I'm using the latest iTunes as well, 7.4.2.

The other thing is, I used the cable from my 5th Gen iPod Video to connect, is this the problem? I did this as I've left the new one in the office.

Anyone else experience this problem?

Yeah same here. I plug my touch in but iTunes never pops up. It's not hard to click on the desktop icon, however.

That's very unusual. Mine works as expected and I'm using a third party cable.
