Posting from my iPod touch!!!

I just did a speed test on CNET.com, and I got 534.3 Kbps. The cnet one was the only one i found that would work; since most are based on flash.

It's not as fast as a regular computer, but not bad either.

that number is quite different from the browser rendering speed.

just use dslreports.com they have an iPhone type test there. I got some 3587kbps

Well, I just did my test on dslreports, and got about 2400. Not bad either way.

Putting aside the exact speed, the browser feels snappy and fast. Doesn't feel like a mobile internet at all.

i think it may be your internet connection or router, not the ipod touch

put it side by side with your desktop, do some comparison, in my case, mobileSafari is SLOW.
