iPod touch ipod touch would not sync

when i got my ipod touch, i plugged it in, and it started to sync, but when ot go to my videos, it said "disc can not read or written to," or ipod is not connected. i wonder if it is the ipod or the computer. i already tried a couple of the solutions but nothing worked.

So it was able to transfer the music, but not the videos, is that right? And the music plays perfectly on the iP touch?
