I forgot how thick the original iPod was.

It's interesting - if you watch the current iPad video, Phil Shiller says almost exactly the same line about how Apple designs all facets of the product.

Did anyone else notice that Schiller says MacBook in the video? He says it right after he talks about firewire and powering the ipod, its before Moby comes on.

Yeah, i saw that too..... the MacBook wasn't introduced until 2006 though. Anyone have an explanation?

I still have my 2nd gen 10 GB iPod (with the touch wheel) that I bought in 2002. It's amazing how the iPod has advanced since then.

The only thing that I could come up with was that they were waiting on a new processor for the ibooks for a while and they had already come up with the name internally and were just waiting to use it and were able when they switched to Intel. Thats just my own thoughts though, its pretty interesting that he mentioned that in a video that was made 5 years before they were released.
