Hey all,

I am sure this has been covered a million times before, but I am getting my first iPod video soon, purchased right here on MR, and I had some questions about the video.

-What video types are supported? I assume .mov, .mpg, what else?
-What is the best way to convert the unsupported video types to types that the iPod can handle? I have a bunch of .avi files I would like to throw on there, .divx would be nice too.

Actually, just those two. Thanks!

If you can. Wait!
The new iPods will be out soon. Wait untill then and then ask us! It really isn't worth going out and getting one after nearly two years of waiting.

EDIT: You've bought one already. I'm Tired OK!
I use a combination of a Yahoo widget and VLC Media player to convert my files.
That's about it for the iPod MPEG-4, .mov and H264

Yeah, I was going to wait, but I found one for like $100 on here, and I needed one because my nano got stolen, and I can't function without my music.

Which yahoo widget do you use? Is there a way that is easy but sithout yahoo widgets?
