iPod touch iPod Volume

I have an iPod touch 1 gen. The problem i am having is that my ipod is not playing music loud enough for me to hear it. When i turn it on i cant hear any music i can then blow in the headphone jack and you can hear it very slightly.

Things i have done:

• Use Diffrent Headphones
• Turn it off and on
• adujust the volume

JackT06 have you looked into the headphone jack and made sure there is no obstruction like lint from clothing. If there is try and carefully remove it. Sounds like a hardware issue if your volume increases after blowing into the jack, so you can probably eliminate software issues?
