iPod touch Is anyone else tired of the same design for the ipod touch?

No, I don't really care all that much about how it looks. I love the performance of my ipod touch (3rd gen) and I'm excited about OS4. And while the design hasn't really changed, I think it looks fine.
If the Gizmodo iPhone leak turns out the be the actual device, then surely the ipod touch will follow accordingly in Sept. If anything, I prefer the look of that device.

I hope that it gets a new design, too. I'm still on the first gen with its black bezel which looks much better than the current model.

We had the same design since 2008 I think we are due for a redesign. Perhaps more like the iPad? I hope they ditch the chrome too.

If they want a mirror then they can get a mirror screen protector, but i guess that makes sense, sorta.
I would love the backing of the new iPhone but I was talking about how the ipod follows the iphone in shape.
Ok, i have no idea what your talking about. So you want the new ipod touch to have the same shape as the ipad or new iphone?

Since, generally speaking, the touch follows suit to the design of the iPhone, i can see the backing to be shaped liked the old nano. I DO NOT see the band around the iPod, since if the iPod had the chrome backing (as it likely will), there would be little cosmetic difference between the two. And Since product distinction is key, i don't think they'd allow that.
