I don't buy in to the hype/conjecture anymore after the 4S. Apple Inc is good at advertising and fanning the flames of curiosity. We still probably won't truly know till its released.

I won't believe it till Tim Cook is holding it on stage.

Not a fan, but I am waiting until it's officially released before I decide who gets my hard earned dollar.

Hope not. Don't know about you but I'm tired of the SAME design case. Look at the Galaxy III or sme of the HTC phones. Apple hasn't changed the OUTSIDE case desgn since the orig phone. Think it's about time for some artistic changes.

Yeah I'm sick of the iPhone 4 look. But if I were to pick 4 vs the leaks. I'll pick the 4 for sure. Even tho those new leaks actually look so similar to the same design as iPhone 4. Booooooring.

    No Way

I don't think they would mix the metal with the white, maybe the whole back metal. Hey I was wrong on the iPhone 4, I didn't think Apple would make a phone that looked like the leaked photos.

Probably not until September. I think WWDC will be devoted to previewing iOS 6 and offering new Ivy Bridge Macs. Allows developers a few months to work their apps into the new OS.

I still love the design of the 4/4S so a slight modification/tweak in design is fine by me as long as it has a larger screen.

All I care about is iOS6

We don't need a new iPhone - we need a new OS.

The existing iOS devices need new STUFF on them.

U obviously don't know what you are talking about. Are seriously posting that the iPhone's exterior shell still looks the same as it did back in 2007?!!!!!

And for those of you who complain about apples choice to use the same design two years in a row....get over it because if history tells us anything, that pattern will continue. They are up for a new design this year, so the obvious thing to expect is that it will go unchanged for the iPhone 6 as well. True apple iPhone fans know this and don't complain about silly things like that. The pattern is what it is and it's what we have come to expect.

I love the look of it. It looks like the iPhone 4, but thinned and refined. Huge fan of the aluminium as well. A day one upgrade from my iP4 if it's true!

The white version is what makes everyone suspicious. It just doesn't look right at all.

It does look a bit weird. It could be really nice. I'll wait to see the airbrushed Apple pics first. I will definitely be buying it either way. I wanted a bigger screen, and it looks like I will be getting one.

I'd agree with that. I just doesn't look as simplistic as the Apple designs we are used to. Time will tell.

Everything looks fine to me except having the headphone jack at the bottom. It's a nightmare when you are working out on an elliptical machine. You need to rest your device on it's side and pick it up to change a song, etc. Ugh.

Larger issues: the 16:9 and dock connector

If the iPhone 5 is moving to a 16:9 aspect ratio and a smaller dock connector, that must certainly also mean that the next iPad will also be 16:9 and come with the smaller dock connector. Won't changing the iOS family to 16:9 screens mean more development specifically for 16:9, leaving current users with a rather unsatisfactory experience?

The iPhone 4/4S design already looks trendy and dated compared to the slick stuff we are seeing from HTC, Nokia and Samsung. If Apple sticks with the same design, and if even remotely close to what these leaks reveal, I will be selling my Apple stock and will not be purchasing an iPhone 5. In terms of industrial design, these prototypes just don't make sense.

lets be clear here...those of you that "hate the new leaks that jus came out" the odds of you going out of your way to go pick it up if it comes to life when its released are lets will drop your iPhone 4 and go no matter what we all know it. Also what is so wrong with the iPhone 4/4S design? I think its is gorgeous and truly admire its quality. Really look at Galaxy S phones? or HTC phones? to me they all look the exact same too....its not necessary for apple to release a device that looks 100% different when compared to current model. I'm sure the longer iPhone will be still much better than every other phone in the market and working with the same design they have a better opportunity to perfect it further than it has been in the 4S when compared to 4......Yes I for one would LOVE to see a bigger version of 4S with larger display, better battery and maybe a couple other features.

I spend more time on the elliptical listening to podcasts than a playlist. And I often times have to play a new podcast before my cardio time is up. Bottom line, a headphone jack on the top would be much better in my scenario.

come on now - it sounds just like the iPad 2 owners not liking the iPad 3. When this thing launches, you will bet everyone will "LOVE" it.

I don't know what is wrong with me lately haha but I am a tech addict for sure. When the new iP4 design came out I was very excited and ended getting it asap. I have had it for 2 years and much as I like the reliability, I really want something fresh and fun. Lately it seems the magic is fading. I am not sure why to be honest. I am really sick of seeing a grid layout for 2 years straight I admit. But I think it is more than that.

Android bothers me in the respect that there are always waits for OS updates thanks to slack arse carriers and I am concerned that the apps that I like and use on iOS will not be as polished and slick on Android phones. I guess I will know when I get a hands on with one.

I am seriously going to check out the new Galaxy S3 as, juvenile as it may sound to some people, I like having new tweaks and features on a phone even if it's something as stupid as the ripple effect when you touch the phone, or it's ability to wake if you talk to it. I know this sounds lame from a business or serious user's point of view. But for me my phone is not only a PHONE but it's something to entertain me when I am waiting in lines, if I am dining by myself etc.

If Apple releases some gentle customization with iOS6 and gives us a lovely looking new device to play with, I have no problem sticking with them as I do love the integration and communication of Apple devices with other Apple devices.

To answer the OP's question, no I am hardly excited about these rumours at all. I was more excited about all of the wild design images that people were first circulating when we thought the 4S would be a redesign than just a longer iP4S....
