While Donald Trump currently appeals to the base of the Republican party, he will almost certainly fail in the General Election where most mainstream voters think he's a joke. Bush and Rubio may have a pretty good shot against Hillary, they have experience and really policy behind them but I can't imagine the Republican party establishment is too happy right now. Thoughts?

I don't accept the premise that the Presidency is Trump's to hand away.

Fair enough, although if Democrats are smart they'll help fund this guy all the way through to the nomination.

so better to have someone to track them? I doubt any gun owners who freak out about background checks would go for someone who would be willing to track people.

Something will happen - real or manufactured - and he will bow out before the nomination, and attempt the king-maker route.

Render to Trump the things that are Trump's, and to Hillary the things that are Hillary's.

    Yea, verily.

    For ever and ever.

    Amen.

If Trump doesn't, Carson will. They are two sides of the same coin.

It would be nice, however I think the Democrats are going to have a hard time with turnout, a large part of their support comes from younger voters that often don't show up to vote. I think Trump will have a hard time winning the general election if he gets the nomination. However if ISIS or some other terror group are able to pull off more attacks in the near future then it is a possibility that his xenophobia will appeal to more voters and that combined with low democratic turnout and he could pull off a win.

I was going to say that was Bill Clinton, but I thought you said Stallion.

I don't think the majority of voters are happy with any of the candidates. Do they want either Hillary or any republican.

Does not matter, the game is rigged. You will get a democrat or republican because people are not going to waste their vote on anyone else

I think you are right with that thought. I know I don't like any of them, or at least any of them who have a chance at winning. I kind of like O'Malley, but he doesn't seem to have a chance. At this point I think I'm voting third party unless Trump gets the nomination in which case I'll vote for Hillary to keep him from winning.

I'd vote for Sanders but he doesn't seem that healthy to be president.

I don't see him getting the nomination, he's a bit too far left for most of the country, and I feel like his supporters are a lot like Ron Paul's supporters, vocal but no too likely to actually show up to the polls. Plus he's too old for me to be comfortable voting for him unless he has a really good VP nominee.

The sad thing is after posting that I will probably vote third party I looked up which parties have ballot access in my state, and the Libertarian Party is the only third party to have access, and it was the same way in 2012 so I don't have much hope that anyone else will be able to get on there. So now I don't know who I'll vote for, maybe I'll just leave the president spot blank and vote for other offices.
