is HDD running hard all thetime with 7200rmp 500GB HDD?
I just bought low end MBP and installed "SEAGATE 500GB Momentus 7200.4 SATA 2.5in HDD w/ G-Force Protection, 16MB Cache" on the first day.

But I recognized that HDD is running all the time without stopping even though I am not doing any task on my mbp. I can feel HDD and CPU running on my wrist all the time.
is it quite normal? am i just overreacting?

    or
is it becuase i installed wrong HDD?
    or 5400rpm vs 7200rpm issue?
    or Hitachi vs Seagate issue?
should I buy /install another HDD on it?

    please reply..
    thank you very much

    Ryan

That is the 7200RPM HD spinning, which is normal. If you kept your stock 5400RPM, you probably wouldn't feel much vibration from the disc itself.
