Just a quick question to get a feel for how people think.
I know this sounds terrible, but so many people seem to hate on Islam as though it were the reason for 9/11, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc....
It might be helpful to know where people stand on this issue.
No more so than any other major organized religion.
Of course, I think they're all a waste of one's time, but to each their own. Just so long as you don't seek to restrict my rights based on your religious beliefs...
A couple years ago Russians were evil. Now it's Muslims.
What will be next? Take your bets
Nothing that is completely fake can be evil, only the people that believe in it and take it too far.
All religion is evil. But Islam isn't any more evil than the others.
It's nice to see that people don't buy into the BS
One person does. I'd really love to know who it is.
You should've had the votes public, so someone would have to own up to such a stupid thought and not hide behind the anonymity of the internet.
Define "fake". It is a real set of beliefs based on various interpretations of what its followers believe is the word of their god. The words are real, the beliefs are often sincere, only the ultimate source is questionable.
The question doesn't really make any sense. What does "evil" mean anyway?
Would of ticked several boxes
Is Islam Evil? No
All Religion is evil? Not really, but religious beliefs have been, and still are being used for to gain money and power and control.
Every religion is acceptable? Yes, people can believe and follow there own path, as long as it does not harm others.
I voted 'No'.
Religions, like many “facts” stated up until the modern era, were just explanations to, well... Explain the unexplainable. The difference between religions and thinking the world is flat is that people feel involved with a religion and it becomes part of their life. When people find out the world is round, they just think, “hmm...well, thats cool.” But when you find out that something that has been a huge part of your life and beliefs (for example, creationism being disproved by evolution), people really don’t want to believe it. When enough people refuse to believe something, facts and things that aren’t true both get lumped together as theories.
At least 8 million Americans would say no.
your avatar says that raping people isnt evil either
If you would change option #4 from "Every Religion is acceptable" to "Every Religion is susceptible", then that would be my vote.
Does it? I think your imagination may be just a tad too fertile.
"Susceptible" to what?
A bunch of crazy militants misinterprets the Koran doesn't make Islam an evil religion. They're no different than the Crusaders in my book. Rotten apples giving the rest a bad name.
St John said it best: "If someone says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen." (1 John 4:20)
Abuse, twisting of dogma, the lot.
So is politics.
