I keep my AW's charger at the place as my iPad and iPhone's chargers. Due to the AW's having a magnet inside, it often sticks to the others. Is that bad? Could it lead to a short circuit? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I don't anything about this kind of stuff and this is my first Apple Watch and I'd like to keep it as long as possible.

Thanks.

Providing there is no current in the charger (not plugged in), all you have is a magnet. It’s safe enough.

The chargers aren't plugged in right?

Do not cross the streams!!! I guess you could look for some plastic mounts for the AW charger on Amazon.

Not a dumb question.

AW chargers ‘sticking’ to one another or a general metal surface should not be a problem. The watch and charger perform a digital/electronic handshake to identify/authenticate one another and determine appropriate power rate before any charging power is initiated. The same thing goes for Lightning and Qi charging. In part, the needed handshake is why there is a brief delay between connecting the charger and the device indicating/confirming the connection.

With that said, indeed, the safest action would be to unplug the chargers when not in use. As we all know, devices/gadgets sometimes fail to operate as designed.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Going forward, I’ll simply unplug my chargers after I’m done, just in case!

Am I safe to assume that I would be able to tell if my chargers had somehow been damaged already? I was able to charge my devices without issues this morning for instance, so I should be fine?

The Watch Charging Pad is an induction coil and ONLY produces a flux field. So it won't hurt are have any practical effect except when in proximity to a matching/tuned secondary induction coil.
