With the left controlling what our kids see, hear and learn, is it inevitable that our younger generation will be liberal?

    The left controls the following:

    Public Education K-12
    Public Colleges
    The main stream news media
    Television and Movies
    Social Media

With all of this will individual thought be a thing of the past as our youngsters are programmed into a socialist submission?

Maybe not, but the paranoia of the right is clearly not going away.

    And Republicans control the following:

    The House of Representatives
    The Congress
    The White House
    So essentially... The United States

Yet STILL somehow blame Liberals for their shortcomings. Republicans, it's your house, get it in order.

Aren't most generations more liberal than those before?

More likely that the right is going to take more liberal stances on social issues as the median voter becomes increasingly progressive.
That's the beauty of democracy. Adaptation is key to party survival.

What is a socialist submission? Serious question.

I don't think so for a couple of reasons.

    • The liberal birth rate is negative and will grind to a halt in the near future.
    • As immigrants become more successful they lean to the right
    • and the biggest factor is Europe, in 15-20 years Americans will see the results of the great European experiment, I bet it will swing many to the right.

The evidence points to the younger generation being generally libertarian.

What is so bad with liberals? :) Seems like conservatives, or maybe better described as the lower taxes crowd, whatever the political leanings want to starve public education, turning it into the non functional mess it’s turning into to. Next we’ll hear from Politicians how we can no longer afford public education. Ps, home owners should not carry the entire burden of school funding.

General theory is as people become older they become more conservative... but that might not be true as looking at the oldest generation still alive you see they start to trend somewhat more liberal - possibly this means generations swing between liberal and conservative as a way of differentiating themselves from their parents/ ‘rebelling’ against the status quo. This seems to be true for longer timescales - the Victorian and Edwardian eras tend to be associated with social conservatism, while the earlier Georgian period is surprisingly liberal in a lot of ways...

In your personal opinion do you think that the right controls any of the entities in which I posted?

That's why they're so pissed Trump is in office. The idea was to integrate/transform US policy slowly, so that eventually it mirrors the European Union, then eventually get Russia and China on the same page long term. What a shame, Trump showed up, threw in the monkey wrench and derailed their plans.:p:cool:

So what does that have to do with controlling public Colleges/main stream news media/Television and Movies/Social Media?

Those are typically left leaning influences.

But why are they becoming more liberal? I, in part, think it is the constant bombardment of information from one side. If that is all you hear, that is all you know.

No, but “the left” doesn't either.

Wait, is being liberal an inborn trait?

It is true that very rich people want to pay less taxes. However:

    - They amount to a small subset of the population (they do not represent the median voter).
    - You assume that people only care about taxation and not other issues.
    - There is no correlation between taxation and party in power (see attached file). The fact is, both Democrats and Republicans want big government. Democrats want more education, health (and so forth), Republicans want more military, law enforcement (and so forth).

Don't worry so much about us. We'll be fine :)

Wasn't the greatest unsuccessful experiment in Europe the combined right-wing nonsense of regimes in Germany, Italy, Spain, ....

You do know that mirroring the European Union would mean giving much more power to States at the expense of power of federal government, right?

Gen Z has lots of options for alternative media and are able to make more informed decisions. Right wing/Centirst Youtubers are way more popular, even some of the smaller channels with 30K-50K subs have way more views than some left wing channels with a million subs.
