Is it normal for my MBP to sleep even if I do things at the last minute?

At first I was away from my 13" 2009 MBP to take a shower and grab a lunch to eat, then I came back to use my web browser to click some links, and then suddenly the screen goes to sleep. Does the computer sleep even if I do things at the last minute before the time it's set to after inactivity?

Check your Energy Saver settings to make sure you have times set that work for you. Also, you can use Caffeine, which will temporarily override your energy saver settings and keep your Mac awake with a click on the Menu Bar icon. Another click turns it off.

Also, you may have better success in attracting responses to your thread, and you'll make your thread easier to find for those browsing the forum for the same answers, if you change your thread title to something more descriptive. To do so, click the "Edit" button on your original post, then click "Go Advanced" and you will see where to edit the thread title.

I'd say it's not normal for your computer to go to sleep while you're using it. But I don't know what could be causing it.
