I have a VPS that i have set up so i can connect to it through FTP (Like filezilla). My vision is to have all my files and such on this VPS and use it instead of a website for hosting my repo. I plan on using source maker (Advanced mode through FTP) and running it that way if i can get it set up. I have everything set up besides having the repo files on the VPS. I want to make sure first its possible to host off of it first before i try anything. Is this idea even possible?

If you have everything why don't you just do a small trial yourself.

Would I use VPS ip address as my "server" and then my ftp login (like I would use with filezilla) I would set my rootpath to where my package.gz is. and set my url too?
