This is my once-every-iPhone-upgrade-post on these forums...*hi* everyone.

If this is true, this sucks. Puts a wrench in plans for me to upgrade and pass down a phone to my stepsister whose phone died.

I only get the biggest iPhones so this pisses me off a great deal. Why are we being discriminated against? Why can't we buy our 6.7" iPhone 12 Pro Max the same day as everybody else? Apple is really screwing us on this one.

You can't get it because it doesn't exist in shipping quantities yet.

Not everything is discrimination.

Sadly, I think he is being serious. I am so sick of these kind of posts. They’re getting more and more common. There is another member that posts similar but more aggressive content.

Some people seem to be entirely clueless as to what’s going on in the world at the moment: it has gone to absolute **** and millions are dying, yet ‘I’ve got to have my new iPhone because I’m entitled’. I seriously do not get it.

OP: the second you added the word discriminated you lost any and all arguments, be they right or wrong.

We’re in the middle of a global pandemic. Nothing is “normal” this year for any of us. Get over it.

Being disappointed is one thing and can be appreciated. Many of us get very excited this time of year.

But once it turns to “we’re being discriminated”, “Apple failed”, “Apple is doomed”, “Apple should have this or that” it just becomes silly. With some members I can’t tell if they really think this way or are just trolling.

It seems extremely silly (and it is, not to mention dumb, stupid, entitled, arrogant, narcissistic, selfish, oblivious, etc) but I've been here since 2011 and these threads show up prior to every iPhone launch.

On a serious note, buy a throwaway phone to keep it moving in the meantime, if delayed?
