I mainly do a frontend dev work, using docker heavily, this buildx tool on ARM cpus is awfully slow, is it better on a new M1 pro 16"?

I just went to the Apple store today. I was looking at the Macbook Air/14 Macbook Pro/16 Macbook Pro and let me tell you that the 16" Macbook Pro is HEAVY!! That thing is going to hurt your back or arm if you are planning to carry it around on the train/bus or coffee shop. It will make you want to keep that brick at home at all times. The 14" and the Macbook Air is a decent weight to lug around. Just wait for the NEW 2022 Macbook Air it will be released in April/May of this year.

If there's any chances they would include 32gb ram option in a new air m2... that would be perfect.

There have been few leaks about it already and most likely it will happen. The Macbook Air is way overdue for an upgrade. The New M2 chip and the New screen is more than enough to run 20-60 tabs, render a 4k.8k video and watch youtube at the same time without any hiccups. You won't get any lag.

It seems according to the front page of MR that there won't be a new MBA this spring... unfortunately. But who knows. I think Gurman did mention spring previously. Apart from that, it's looking like it's going to be an incredible piece of kit and if you're holding out for it, it's gonna be worth it. Hopefully they keep it silent and thin.

M1 Air is a great machine... Would be even greater if they add 32GB ram option to M2 and keep it fanless.
