iPhone Is sprint the best because you can tether the unlimited data with jailbreak?

If Sprint offered me a free contact for the remainder of my life, I would still choose to pay AT&T each month.

Each person here will have their own opinion about Sprint.

My feeling is that if Sprint service on an iDevice was a great as you believe they are, they would be the #1 carrier in the US.
    Since they are not, ...

Assuming for the moment that this is (was) a serious question…

Just like the other carriers, you have to purchase tethering as an option. Sprint does not include it with some phone's and the old Everything Data plans did not have it available at all, or at leas not cheaply.

I tethered for three years using WMWiFiRouter on my Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro, HTC Touch Pro. Tethering was not an option available to me so I found this. Version 0.95 was the last public domain version. Now they make you pay, but it's also for Android now too.

When I got my iPhone 5 I was able to purchase a 2GB hotspot for $20/month. There is (was) a 6GB option for $60/month.

The "new" Unlimited for Life plans give you 1GB in the basic version for $10 and a 9GB version for something else (forget the price at the moment). But you still have to buy it. Up until a few years ago you could buy a 5GB hotspot for a certain price (forget again how much) and Sprint did not limit you to that 5GB because they had no capability to track tethering then. Now they do.

None of the options I just listed above require a jailbreak. So, jailbreaking is irrelevant to your (non) serious question.

In my case though, I do have TetherMe and a 2GB tethering option, which I use together.

Whether this is worth it or not because the network speed is crap is an entirely different discussion. :D

I spent 6 years on sprint before coming to tmobile... If sprint was to give me free service for life... I still wouldn't take it.

Not for me. Coverage still matters most here.

Verizon is the best. If you have unlimited data you can teather for free. That is if your jail broken. Or you can pay $30 a month extra for unlimited teathering.
