Costco is having a sale right now on the 15 in, 2.6Ghz, 6 core, 256Gb SSD, 16Gb RAM for $1,999
I'm thinking of pulling the trigger, but don't know if this is a good deal for this model?

Well, doing a bit of searching for you, it looks like that’s about $100 cheaper than anybody else. There’s a site called google.com that can be really helpful answering questions like this. ;)

They are realeasing new macbook pros in a month. Maybe it might be even more discounted at that time for the old (this) ones!

I don't think that I've seen the 15 at my local Costco. Is this online?

That's certainly a good price compared to my 2014 MBP 15.

Well I paid more than you, so yes I would consider it a good deal for me. But I got it a week after the new ones launched. got the base model. I didn't want to wait. Not sure if it's a good deal now, especially if another ones coming up.
