I'm wondering if the 27" i5 3.1GHz is significantly cooler than the i7 3.4GHz?
Im 99.999% this has been asked before.
More than a few degrees. i.e: 10c, 20c, etc.
For other iMacs yes, but I'm not so sure about the 2011 models.
According to Wikipedia:
The TDP for the i7 and i5 are the same (2600 and 2400), at 95W, so I'd imagine the temperatures are similar?
Only the i5-2500S has 65W TDP (the 2.7GHz), the i5-2400 (3.1GHz) and i7-2600 (3.4GHz) are rated for 95W TDP. But also the video card in the 3.1-3.ghz 27" has more heat
All right, thanks guys. Cheers
