I think the size looks good, I just worry it might be a tad bulky for me. I have an astigmatism and always like a large screen, so I went with the 42 because of that. I wonder if you think a 38mm would look better or if the 42 looks good as is and isn't too clunky?

Sometimes an objective opinion can help me formulate my final opinion, so I appreciate the input. Thanks! Also, this watch is downright beautiful, nice job apple.

I think it looks good. The 38 would look good, too. You're lucky that either size would work for you!

Nope not bulky at all. But wrist-shots are not the most objective photos to make a judgement on. But from these shots I'd say that it's a great fit. The SBSS makes the watch appear smaller as well.

IMO, the 38mm would look better on you. There you have it: two different opinions.

I have the 38mm on order too just in case. It should be here from June 8-15. If I like that size better, I will just give this one to my BF and keep the smaller one for me.

I did the same thing, ordered both sizes. The 38mm arrived first, by just about 2 weeks. The 42mm arrived just a day or two ahead of the return window for the 38mm. But I have to tell you, the second I put the 42mm on after wearing the 38 for that long, I knew immediately it was the one for me. The screen size did make a difference for me, and the battery life is a little better, too.

It look big on you, i saw this weekend also a girl with a 42mm and it looks not normal

It looks OK on you, and if the larger screen helps you to see it better then goo for it. If any "friend" questions why you are wearing such a large watch, tell them A) it the style now a days, and B)it helps me to see the screen. If this "friend" persists in their view then dump them, they are not really a friend since they do not accept your needs but only their own.

Actually, the 38mm might be a better fit for you in terms of looks. In terms of usability, my preference is the 42mm.

In any case, regardless of size; you went for the best looking model in my opinion *thumbs up*

I think the 38 would look better on you this one looks too big goes from one side of wrist to other without much band showing.

Purely aesthetically, I think I would prefer the 38mm for myself, but you need to choose the Watch which is better for you overall.

Wait until the 38mm gets there and then see which one is easier for you to read with a quick glance. If the 42mm is easier to read, I would go with that. The 38mm might look a little more proportional on your wrist, but the 42mm also looks good, so if it's easier to read, for me it would be a no-brainer.

Every time I see shots of this model, I can't get over how great it looks. If you decide to keep the 42mm, I imagine you'll get nothing but compliments. And if you don't... Well, I agree with what Tom G said upthread.

A head on pic like that always makes it look big. I have thick wrists and when I take a picture straight down on it it looks too big. Use your camera remote and take a pic from2-3 feet back, tilt it slightly so you can see some band. (When the camera is too close it can also make the objects closer to the lense look slightly too big)

I have small wrists and I wear the a 42mm SS and can't imagine going for a 38mm. I've always worn bigger watches because I dislike the tiny faces of 'ladies watches'.

To me the 42mm looks spot on and the 38mm would look tiny.

Great looking watch you have there though, so jealous.

I don't think it looks too big at all.

As others have said the current trend for traditional watches has been larger sizes.

The key is how you like it and its usability.

I'm going to be completely honest. I see a ton of females with larger watches. I personally think a 38mm might look a little better but you stated you have an astigmatism and like the bigger screen. I personally buy what I like and what i'll use and don't care in the slightest what others say or think. If you like the bigger screen i'd personally say go with the 42mm even though a 38mm may look a little more in it's place.

38 and 42 are not that much different. 42 looks good on your hand.

if you have any doubts, go into an Apple Store and check out the 38
