Hi i want to sell my ibook as i have a new powerbook. I was wondering if the applecare warranty is transferable or not?

PS: what could be the approximate price that i could sell it for? (1 Ghz/768 MB RAM /with AE card /30 GB/Combo/Apple Care)

Yep it is. You have to fill out a form and mail it in to Apple. At least that's how I did it when I sold mine.

i guess ibook applecare is transferrable to another ibook but not to a powerbook - the price difference is quite unbelievable...

The transfer is to a person, not a computer. It's like a car warranty--you can sell teh car and the buyer gets teh warranty, but you can't keep that car's warranty for your new car.
