I am looking for a new tablet soon and the tablet that i am interested in is the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 which has been released over 2 years ago in 2014 and i know there are much more newer and better(and more powerful) Android tablets like the Pixel C, Tab S2 and the most recent one is the Huawei MediaPad M3 which has the same sceen size 8.4 inches and is a lot more powerful and future proof compared to the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and don't get me wrong guys i would love to get the MediaPad M3 but i can't really afford it sadly. :( :(

So my only option is the Galaxy Tab 8.4 and i know it won't get Lollipop but i am happy enough staying on my Android favourite version KitKat haha. :D :D

I am looking to use Tab Pro 8.4 for web browsing, video watching and more importantly graphic intensive gaming and some productivity/content creation(going to use it for photo editing).

So everyone Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 still worth it in 2016?? Should i get it?? and is the Tab Pro 8.4 powerful enough for graphic intensive games like Asphalt 8, Gangster Vegas 4 and Unkilled and photo editing?? Since the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is over 2 years old now. :)

You missed out on the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Best Buy was selling for like $35. I'd go S2 which you can probably find pre-owned for ~$200 and since stock ROM is more stable than CM13 (Marshmallow) for Pro.

The WIFI version of Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is officially supported by Cyanogenmod (currently CM13 Marshmallow and probably Nougat soon) plus stock Touchwiz Android Kit Kat is still more advanced and stable than iOS 10. I had over 1500 hours uptime before swapping out battery on a Touchwiz Kit Kat device the other day.

You didn't specifically mention your budget but might it be worth waiting to see if the 'lightly' rumored Huawei built Google (I guess it'll be a Pixel) tablet is announced on October 4? Don't the rumors point to it being in the 8" range?

Wow, you honestly think TW KitKat is better than iOS 10?

You left out the most important fact... how much?

Out of the box, the GTab Pro 8.4 is a great tablet shackled by TouchWiz. It runs fine but it was only after I rooted it and froze the Samsung bloatware that it screams.

But without knowing the price, it is difficult to recommend it or dismiss it.

I liked my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 for the first couple of years I had it, but I wiped it earlier this year with intentions of selling it. Never got around to it and it's just ben sitting in my drawer for months. It's still a decent tablet, but I have no interest in using it again.

Tab Pro 8.4 main failing was subpar battery life, particularly with Wifi on. (This is on Kitkat)

Beyond that, it performed well enough.

I imagine CM13 gave it a little more battery life, but did they ever fix the SDcard not reading problem?

Mine degraded to from 100% to 85% rather quickly...crappy battery Samsung used for this model.
