Richard Lugar, one of the few remaining Reagan Republicans, will be out next January. His age obviously had a lot to do with his defeat. But, once again, the far right candidate won. Once again, on a stridently partisan platform.

The undoing for the GOP will be the fact that they are unbending. It pisses off the moderates, and independents.
The part I hate about the GOP being so bat **** crazy right now it that it does not keep the dems honest. THey can get away with more stuff because lets face it they are a hell of a lot better than the bat **** crazy crew.

Your political arrogance is only overshadowed by your ignorance.

The Democrats have blocked more judicial appointments in the last 20 years than the Republicans have blocked in the last 100...

This year will see the ousting if the Democrat socialist party from the oval office as well as Congress. The pendulum may swing a bit to the right before it stabilizes, but having it pegged all the way to the left as it is now has completely alienated the moderates and independents.

Landslide victories are virtually guaranteed and Obama continues to reinforce that with each of his proclamations.

It is the fact that both parties in the US fail to compromise, that has left you in this stand off position.
The adding of religion to the mix and you have receipt for blind hatred.:(

The thing is moderates and independents are more likely to feel slighted or indifferent to the stupidity seen on both ends of the aisle and less likely to vote than those "bat **** crazy" GOP supporters. Never can support their policies, but their passion is impressive.

See: Obama 2008 campaign vs. Obama 2012 thus far. Youth aren't as excited. Grassroots movements aren't what they were. It's just an old fashioned money chest/arms race at this point. Still early, but still quite different.

...or what "all the way left" is. If what we have currently is "all the way left", then I'm really, REALLY scared to see what even half-right is.

Then, if the Constitution really is "hanging by a thread", we need a proper latter-day-saint to fulfill the White Horse Prophecy and rescue the nation.
