Is there a lack of retina wallpaper out there?

I've tried searching but a lot of what is out there seems to just be resized images to fit the resolution rather than images of high quality.

Does anyone have any recommendations for decent sites to take wallpaper from, or maybe even post some nice ones here? I'm on a 13" MacBook Pro so looking at 1560x1600 personally.

    Thanks.

Just search for "2560*1600 wallpapers". Are you looking for something particular?

Haha. Any 2560+ would be considered "retina". Try interfacelift.com

Yeah I searched this but the images seem stretched rather than crisp and clear 'retina' images. Not looking for anything specific. I know in the iPhone forums people post up their best wallpapers. Just wondered why there was nothing similar available.

Just go out, take pictures, and then make your own.

    That's what I do.

As Celedral suggested, interfacelift.com does seem to be a brilliant place. These are proper photos so no hi-res issues. Plus, they are available for your particular device's resolution. Thank you, Celedral.

Wallbase is my go to place for wallpapers personally. Good content and you can search by size, timespan, ratios etc. which is what you´re looking for...:
