Since Beta 2, that little green dot is there to tell our current location, which ok cool but I'd like the option to have it turned off. I think it's looks better without it.

There's a bit of a privacy concern as well when sharing that wallpaper online. While it doesn't exactly show where you live, the green dot already reveals a bit of that. Even when using an VPN, the green dot stays in the same location.

I have kind of the opposite problem. Currently my location is set to California, despite being nowhere near there. Any ideas how to update it?

You can actually get rid of it if you go to Settings > Privacy > Astronomy and disable location services. It kept the same animation and location for me, but no more dot.

Edit: never mind, it actually changed the location to somewhere in California after this.

Edit 2: it seems that if you set the location services to ask next time and then answer allow once, it will pick your location and then not display the dot.
