my daughter wants to listen to some of my audiobooks I bought on cd. I have them ripped into audiobook format. but she does not have a computer so I can't put them on iTunes. I dont think it could be done through dropbox can it?

First question is what <does> she have to listen with?

Could she connect to your computer to download to a player?

I think that’s your best route. If you want to retain control, do it for her.
Otherwise there is other software to purchase and use as alternatives to iTunes.

Or, if she has a friend who would let her use their computer to sync to, you could zip up all the files and use the service, I think it’s called ‘you send it’ to send to the friends computer. However, I would not recommend using someone else’s computer to sync with any of my devices from a security standpoint.

Also, I have no idea, there may be lightning/usb sticks that the files could be put on then transferred to her iPhone. I know they have them for photos and video, maybe they have them for audio files also. Cruise Amazon doing a number of different searches.

She should be able to play them from dropbox app if not mistaking. Also you can use smth like iMazing instead of iTunes to avoid library sync if this was your concern.

I mean I can put them on dropbox I do have amzing. so thats a good way to go. Yes dropbox would let her play them but I wonder if it would keep her place?

Never used dropbox app, but I've read that it should be possible in one guide about loading ripped music for offline use. Don't really remember if you need a paid plan for that though...

Put them in an iCloud folder and share it with her.

They are just audio files. You should be able to use Dropbox or whatever. Heck you might even be able to airdrop them. Although i’m not sure you can get them into iTunes to play them. So hopefully they will play right out of the files app.
