I got my order placed (meaning, competed and the "Thank You For your Order" screen) around 12:15 am PT. I had to refresh the app and website over and over.

My est. delivery is November 17-24.

What are the CHANCES I'll get my phone on my doorstep BEFORE November 17?

*Edit* This was done through Apple website.

It's possible. Apple tends to under promise and over deliver. (Assuming thats who you ordered through.)

I'm in the same boat. Apple.com and the app store app didn't update to allow me to order till 3:12 am. Order was smooth and complete by 3.13 am but got 2-3 weeks shipping time.

In the past people have been lucky and even received on launch day when expecting a 2-3 week wait. But with the iPhone X I expect your best hope will be receiving it on the earliest date of their estimate for you. (So on the 17th for the thread starter)

Their estimates are probably conservative. There will always be some people with earlier ship dates who cancel.

You'd be mad to cancel even if you don't want. Sellers are already receiving bids in excess of $2,000 on eBay.

Nevertheless, some people will decide that they don’t want it and won’t trouble themselves to sell it. For any course of action you can imagine there will always be someone crazy enough to do it.

not that I want to be overly optimisitc but I ordered as soon as it came online and my credit card has charged already
but the date is 2-3 weeks

i do wonder if the shipping dates arent accurate for each region, like maybe they allot a certain amount to each area, in which case ehh... dont wanna get hopes up though

Last year got confirmation email at 12:11... 2-3 weeks delivery (Oct 4-10)
Actual delivery Sept 24.

We got pushed up a week. But you won't know that until a week and a half from now. They have to see where they are in production, shipping, customs. I think there are only so many planes. Even if our phones are made, there are logistics in getting those 3 million phones from China to America... This year we also have live shipments of the iPhone 8 to compete with capacity.

Last year I was scheduled to get my my iPhone 7 Plus Matte Black Oct. 4-10 but ended up getting it on Sept. 24. So for me, last year I was in the 2-3 week shipping times, same this year. Hopefully history repeats itself and I get my iPhone X earlier than what Apple has estimated!

I probably would have had a launch day iPhone X if right before going to checkout the site did not glitch and reset everything so I had to go back and redo everything. With that being said, I have an estimated shipping date of Nov. 17-24 so it is not that bad, but I would love it earlier especially considering the 23rd is Thanksgiving and I go out of town!
