Is Tmobile refarming their ENTIRE 3G spectrum to be compatible with iPhone 5?

With the whole refarming of the current 3G on Tmobile, is it confirmed they are refarming their ENTIRE network by Q4 2012 so it will be compatible with the iphone? Or are they only refarming a limited number of towers? Does this mean on Tmobile at some point at the end of this year, the iPhone 5 on tmobile will no longer be limited to 2G EDGE across the country where Tmobile current has coverage besides the "popular markets" like NY, DC, and parts of Cali?

I've been hearing stuff about Q4 2012 for refarming and mid 2013 for 4G LTE and wanted to get an idea if it was better to just pick up an unlocked phone now and forget starting a path on a $100+ mobile share plan.

According to a T-Mobile rep, they are refarming the whole 3g spectrum to be 4/4s compatible which would make them 5 compatible as well, I do not think the 4g will be compatible for a while if they are even considering it.
