I am new to this whole idea of iSights and webcams, and was wondering whether it is possible to use an iSight on my Mac to communicate with someone on a PC with some other webcam... Obviously I wouldn't be able to use iChat, but is there some other program that I could use? Any help would be appreciated!

Actually, you have to use iChat. I believe the only way to video chat between Mac/PC is:
Mac side: iChat with iSight
PC side: The latest version of AOL Instant Messenger, with supported webcam.
